This was possibly my favorite part of the entire Jordan trip. While Jordan was nothing less of an adventure from Petra, to Wadi Rum, the Hilton Dead Sea Resort and Spa was just a perfect ending. Boasting an absolutely beautiful and grand location, it oozed of luxury and a little bit of spoiling. Having Italian, Lebanese and International cuisines, you have a range to choose from. A spaghetti bolognese did it for me.

You can go down several flights of stairs and down an elevator to get to the dead sea and you’re briefed on how to go about the beautifying procedure of smearing on the mud, floating in the dead sea and then having it washed off, and applying a scrub. The hotel staff are helpful and lifeguards stand there watching out for any mishaps that may occur with this salt-dense water.

When swimming in these waters be careful not to tip forward, as it can be difficult to pull your head out and an intake of salt can be dangerous. You can float on your back in this once-in- a lifetime experience where the water naturally pulls you towards the surface.
This hotel and these experiences were the perfect end to this trip. Along the way to the airport, we saw historic sites like where Jesus was baptized. This country is rife with history especially history coming from the Abrahamic religions. It is said to be the place where Moses first saw Israel and the drive up from Aqaba has you driving along the dead sea. A magnificent drive
